If you can feel it… you’re not imagining it.

The light is lasting longer. The lake air feels different. And Lake Stevens is starting to wake up for spring.

March around here isn’t about big flashy events — it’s about the pop-ups. The quiet re-openings. The markets starting to buzz again. The local businesses stretching after winter and saying, “Okay, let’s do this.”

And honestly? That’s my favorite season.

Here’s your guide to what’s happening around Lake Stevens and nearby this March — plus a few sweet ideas while you’re out supporting local 💜

🌸 What’s Happening Locally This March

March is that in-between month where everything starts stretching after winter — and honestly, the event lineup reflects that.

Here are a few local happenings worth putting on your radar:

💕 3/7 – Treat Yourself Women’s Expo (Marysville)

A full day focused on women-owned businesses, wellness, shopping, and connecting. If you’re in your “new season, new energy” era — this one’s for you.

Perfect excuse to grab a friend, support small businesses, and make a day of it.

This is a great event to go with your friends, it gets busy. I have seen people lining up at the doors to be the first to get in, go check it out!

🌱 3/7 – Spring Plant Share (Arlington)

Garden lovers, this is your moment.

Bring cuttings, swap plants, and start dreaming about spring blooms.

March = planning season. Whether it’s gardens or gatherings.

Unfortunately, I do not have a green thumb. Heck I even forget to dust the fake ones, but I do love a nice plant.

🛍️ 3/13 – MGHS Spring Bazaar (Marysville)

School bazaars are underrated gems. Local vendors, handmade finds, and that community energy we all love.

These are the kinds of events where you find the most unexpected treasures.

🏡 3/21 – Arlington Home & Garden Show

If you’re thinking about:

  • Landscaping

  • Backyard upgrades

  • Patio season

  • Home projects

This is the kickoff.

Spring around here always starts with “maybe we should redo the backyard…”

🧺 3/22 – Everett Farmers Market “Get Ready Market”

Think of this as the preseason. Vendors warming up before full market season hits.

It’s smaller, but that’s what makes it fun — you actually get to talk to the makers.

And if you’ve missed farmers market vibes all winter… this is your soft launch back into it.

🐰 3/28 –

Okay this is where March really turns the corner.

Craven Farm always does spring right — family-friendly, festive, and full of that fresh-air energy.

If Easter is on your radar, this is your reminder that it’s closer than you think.

They even have an Adult only Egg Hunt!!! How fun is that.

💜 And Of Course… Classes at Patty Cakes Bakes

3/21 + 3/28 I’ll be hosting decorating classes, which honestly feel like the perfect way to lean into spring creativity.

Girls’ night. Mother-daughter time. Or just a “I need to get out of the house” moment. 😉

☕ Patio Season Is Trying to Happen

March in Washington is chaotic — we know this.

But on those random sunny 52-degree days? The patios start filling up.

Local coffee shops and cafés around Lake Stevens and Snohomish County start:

  • Testing spring drink menus

  • Opening outdoor seating

  • Bringing back lighter flavors

It’s the perfect excuse to:

  • Grab a friend

  • Support local

  • Sit outside pretending it’s 65 degrees

If you’re already out and about, this is the season for a “just because” treat.

Not a birthday. Not a holiday. Just a we survived winter moment.

🌷 Spring Energy = Fresh Starts

March is also when:

  • People start planning graduation parties

  • Moms start thinking about Easter

  • Businesses start prepping for Q2

  • Families start booking spring birthdays

Which means… this is the planning month.

If you know you have:

  • An April event

  • An Easter gathering

  • A teacher appreciation idea

  • A graduation celebration

Now is when you want to grab those presales or get on calendars.

(Trust me. April fills faster than people think.)

🍪 What to Bring When You’re Out Supporting Local

If you’re heading to:

  • A friend’s house

  • A spring pop-up

  • A community meeting

  • A school event

Never show up empty-handed.

March is the perfect time for:

It’s low pressure, not holiday-specific, and just feels thoughtful.

And if you’re one of my BLOS ladies or local business owners reading this — a box of branded cookies at a spring networking event? Elite move.

🌊 And Don’t Forget the Lake

Even if it’s still jacket weather, North Cove and Lundeen start getting busier this time of year.

Sunset walks. Kids at the playground. Families testing the docks.

Lake Stevens in March feels hopeful. It’s not peak summer chaos yet. It’s the calm before the beautiful storm.

And I don’t know about you… but that’s my favorite version of it.

💜 Let’s Make March Sweet
